Many educators within the Alberni Valley are dedicated to teaching students about salmon. There is a wonderful program run in the valley by Gently Down the Creek. Students take a trip out to the hatchery to watch salmon as they return in their spawning cycle. They then tend eggs and fry within their classrooms, and release the fry in the spring.

Please contact us for more information on how to get involved.

We will be putting on Streamkeeper courses this year, so stay tuned and watch out for upcoming courses. Healthy streams create healthy salmon. And the best part is, that it is fun to get outside and help your local watershed.
